fulfilling promises
making promises is the easy part,
fulfilling them is a totally different thing.
what one person has in mind is usually different than what the other person expects.
kinda like religion,
so i ask is making promises even worth it when someone else is given the chance to pick your hard good intentions apart.
that usually comes from someone who is ungrateful for what has been given to them, so they see no good in what others give them because it is never enough to ever please them, no i believe it is their troubled minds that cannot find satisfaction.
i think that is what Jesus meant when he said; "father forgive them for they know not what they do"

I think making a promise is always worth it. It makes us strive to better ourselves because we know that our word is all we really have and that some day our word will be all we need once again. So no matter how hard it is to keep promises, or how much it hurts to go through with them we should always understand what we have learned because of them. As always it's just a matter of opinion.
I personally rarely make a promise, those words never make it out of my mouth. "I promise", how can I promise anyone anything when the world is constantly changing, how am I going to know where I'm going to be tommorow let alone promise someone something without a doubt, that I can fullfill the words said. There are very few people that are even worthy of that kind of commitment and those are the people who have had to earn it. Just a different perspective.
